Weekend Lunch Program signup
The Otselic Valley Central School is supporting the work of local community agencies for the Weekend Lunch Program. This program is designed to provide nutritious food to children (grades UPK to grade 7) to take home and eat over the weekend.
It is hoped that this program will better prepare students for school during the coming week. Research shows that a lack of nutritious food in a child’s diet can make learning in school a challenge. In these economic times, providing nutritious food for children can be difficult for some families.
Every student in the district UPK-7 will be receiving this letter. If you feel this program would be a help to your family, each of your registered children in UPK-7 will receive a bag of non-perishable food every Friday to eat over the weekend. Food will be dispensed in a discreet and caring manner. This program will run for the entire school year.
There is no cost to you associated with this program. If you wish for your child(ren) to participate in the program, please sign and return the letter (see link below) to the nurse as soon as possible. This program will be administered on a first come first served basis.
If you have any questions, please call Mrs. Stacie Morse, our school nurse at 315-653-7218, ext 4006. Thank you.
