Please join us for the dedication of the David W. Loomis Gymnasium

The Otselic Valley Central School District Board of Education voted unanimously to rename our gym to honor an O V graduate (1968) whose professional life has been given to generations of our students. At a ceremony to be held at halftime of the Boys Varsity basketball game on Friday, Nov. 30 (game start: 7:00 PM), the gym that always contains so much of our school life across all grade levels will be renamed the David W. Loomis Gymnasium.

The reasons for this honor require math to count all the ways he's worked tirelessly on behalf of Vikings, and explain the depth of our appreciation. For 46 years (so far), Coach David W. Loomis has been serving students and families at Otselic Valley Central School.  For 33 of those years he was Athletic Director; in some years he coached all junior high boys sports; later, and for many years, he coached all Varsity boys sports; in most years he was a club advisor; in all years he has helped our students grow as both athletes and human beings.

It is our privilege to honor him at this dedication and renaming of our gym, and we hope you will join us.

As you might expect, Coach Loomis will be coaching the first game of the night's doubleheader: JV vs. Blessed Virgin Mary, 5:30 PM.

Refreshments will follow after the last game.
