We have lift-off! And sometimes we don't...at first. Recently Ms. Beck's two science classes of 6th graders took their experiments in chemistry and engineering outdoors as part of a project integrating concepts studied throughout the school year. "If students were able to design a rocket that overcame gravity, they got a 100%. Students helped each other, gave advice, and tried/re-tried different methods. It was a true experiment in the scientific method."

Student writers in 6th grade were awarded for contributions to the Echoes Spring 2022 script written by students across New York State, and performed by the professional REV Theatre Company. Showcased Author Alex Thompson and Excellence in Writing winner Konyr Clemens join a roster of Honorable Mention and participating authors from O V and across the state, with Alex's work being featured in a compelling ensemble show that was at once funny, serious, thoughtful, and always creative. Come learn to skate or show us your skills in TWO skating parties on June 8, 2022 hosted by the Class of 2027. Grades PreK - 5th will skate from 3:00-4:30, and grades 6-12 will skate from 4:30-6:00. A company will provide skates or you can bring your own to be inspected/cleaned for safe use on our gym floor. YES, parents can skate too! COST: $8.00 per skater. Pizza and water or soda will be available for purchase ($2.50 per slice, $1.00 per drink).

[POSTPONED] Arts in Education Fun Night! [POSTPONED] Arts in Education Fun Night!
[POSTPONED] All are welcome to join us for "The One And Only Ivan Fun Night" on Friday, June 3 from 6:00 - 8:30 pm in a celebration of the arts. The event features an array of activities to choose from including a FREE BOOK GIVEAWAY, a community and school art exhibition in the hallways throughout the 1st floor of our school, a movie (with popcorn!) in the M P R, cookie decorating in the cafeteria, a free painting class in the art room at 6:30 pm, and a Read-A-Thon in our beautiful library.
