On November 29, Mr. Daniel Silky received notice from the Chenango County Health Department's Public Health Sanitarian that all water restrictions have been lifted. Water at school is expected to be safe to drink by Friday, November 30, 2018, following careful procedures that ready the pipes, faucets, and other water locations for safe use and safe drinking.
The checklist to ensure safe water readiness is being executed by our custodial, food services, and health staff so that we can move back to village water. All staff have been made aware of both the availability of drinkable local water, and the importance of procedures that allow safe transition back to normal water use.
Thanks are offered to those who together ensured that plenty of drinkable water was always on hand for students and staff. We also appreciate the flexibility and resilience of those who had to find new ways of doing big tasks, like our food service staff.
