UPDATE: All-remote learning for all students (no cohorts) on November 16-20, 2020

Dear Parents/Guardians,

To reduce the potential spread of COVID-19 and out of an abundance of caution following a confirmed staff case, the district will continue to be virtual/remote on Monday, November 16 through Friday, November 20.  In cooperation with county health departments, the district will reassess our situation later next week and notify parents and staff if we are to continue remote learning past November 20th

The district originally planned to move to an in-person, no-cohort, 4-day instruction week starting November 16th.  The district is moving forward with the no-cohort plan even though 4-day instruction on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday will be remote at this time. Wednesdays will still be available for those students who need extra support from teachers.

  • BOCES students will continue to be transported to their programs next week.
  • Staff will work with students who have unavailable or inconsistent internet access.
  • Student meal pick up will be available at 8-10 AM on Monday, November 16 (3 days of meals) and Wednesday, November 18 (2 days of meals) at the cafeteria loading dock. If you have not already signed up for these meals, please email Mrs. Hillman by Sunday evening: [email protected]

Please note that federal and state privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive or release any additional information.

Since the start of the school year, the district has been thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting all portions of our school building that are in use by students and staff on a daily basis in accordance with guidance from the New York State Department of Health and the CDC.

For details about our cleaning procedures, COVID prevention policies and more, please see our Reopening Plan.

Any additional questions, including information about testing procedures, can be directed to the Chenango County Health Department at 607-337-1660 and Madison County Health Department at 315-366-2361.

Stay well, everyone.
