From the Nurse's Office: A Back-to-School Video
If you aren't touring the nurse's office and talking with Mrs. Morse in person, the next best thing is a video. Mrs. Stacie Morse, RN, talks to parents/guardians AND students in a video that covers a range of COVID-related topics:

  • temperature taking (with a cameo appearance by Mrs. Youngs)
  • new this year: a second nurse's office space for students taking medication and being seen for injury
  • masks and hand sanitizer (what kind? where?)
  • her personal protective equipment
  • hand washing

Especially important is the segment for parents/guardians about COVID-19 symptoms. She explains that students and staff presenting with signs of COVID will be sent home, and describes what will be required before they can return to school according to directives from the Department of Health.  This information will help parents/guardians in deciding when to keep students home from school.

For your convenience, here is the current list of COVID signs (subject to change as we learn more):

  • Fever 100.0 F or higher or chills

  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
