Space Camp is coming in August!
The Otselic Valley Elementary Space Camp is happening in August!
 
When is it? 
 
August 5-22, 2019 (Monday-Thursday), 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM
 
Who can come? 
 
Camp is open to all district students who will be entering grades K-6 in the 2019-2020 school year. Class size is limited so sign up soon! (We are very sorry but we can't accommodate students from other school districts. We hope you will read and enjoy other projects anyway!)
 
Is there food? 
 
Yes, both breakfast and lunch will be served. 
 
Is there transportation? 
 
Yes, bus information is on the sign up form (sent home with your student, or at the link at the bottom of this article).
 
What will we do? 
 
Students will enjoy reading, writing, science, and technology through project-base learning!
 
GRADES K-1: Alien Slime, Rockets, Stars
GRADES 2-3: Milky Way Galaxy, Solar System, Remote Control Rovers, Build Rockets
GRADES 4-6: Multimedia Research, Build Rockets, Mission to Mars, Aliens!
 
Students will practice their reading and writing skills while engaged in enjoyable,  challenbging projects. One to one or small group tutoring will be available to students needing reading and writing remediation.
 
How do I sign up?
 
Just fill in the form on the back of the flyer sent home with your student, or download the flyer through the link at the bottom of this article, and turn it in to your child's teacher as soon as possible. Space is limited!
