Board members Foster and Wood recognized by the N Y S S B A
At the final Board of Education meeting of the 2018-2019 year, outgoing member Jeremy Foster and current member Brian Wood were both awarded Certificates of Recognition from the New York State School Boards Association (N Y S S B A) for their efforts to continually expand their governance knowledge and skills.
Mr. Foster earned the Board Master Award--Level 3 award, and Mr. Wood earned the Board Achievement Award. Both awards reflect accumulated points for participating in N Y S S B A training activities include the board officers academy, state-mandated training, legal conferences, and/or custom board retreats.
In addition to his public recognition at the board meeting and receipt of a commemorative portfolio from the Association, Mr. Foster will also be recognized in On Board, the N Y S S B A’s newspaper.
As he departs from service on the Board of Education, Mr. Foster was also recognized by the Otselic Valley Central School District for his years of service (7/1/2014-6/30/2019), including work as the Board President.
