As part of an annual tradition of service and remembrance, Mr. Wentworth’s 6th grade Social Studies class from Otselic Valley Central School partnered with the American Legion to place American flags at the gravesites of veterans at Valley View Cemetery.
Despite rainy weather, the students showed unwavering dedication as they took part in this meaningful act to honor local heroes. This experience is part of a classroom tradition that Mr. Wentworth’s class has proudly participated for the past few years.
In a thoughtful gesture, Buell Fuels generously provided hot chocolate for the students, a welcome treat that helped keep spirits warm on a chilly day.
Special recognition also goes to OV graduate Danny Roodenburg and Wall of Fame member Bill Wentworth, who place flags throughout the town each year and continue to serve the community with pride.
Otselic Valley is proud of our students and partners for honoring the legacy of those who served.
