The Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP) continues to offer Otselic Valley students exciting opportunities for learning, connection, and growth, both in and outside of the classroom.
LPP Students Join the Norwich Parade
On Saturday, October 25th, Aurora and Cierra Marshall joined the LPP group for the Nor-Witch Fall Festival and YMCA Halloween Parade in Norwich.
Cierra even won a soccer ball during the event, and Miss Linda was recognized for having the funniest costume! Activities like this help students strengthen friendships and connect with others in the community.

Colgate Mentors Return to OV
Our partnership with Colgate Universityโs Center for Outreach, Volunteerism, and Education (COVE) is also off to a great start! Five Otselic Valley LPP students met again with their Colgate mentors recently, continuing to build meaningful connections and share new experiences together.
During their recent session, students reflected on what theyโve learned so far:
โI learned how to get organized.โ
โI found out I had things in common with my Colgate student.โ
โI talked with someone I didnโt know, and it got easier as time went on.โ
โI interacted with people. I donโt do that!โ
Students also identified subjects theyโd like additional support in as the mentoring continues, showing how these relationships are already encouraging growth and confidence. All of them said theyโre looking forward to the mentorsโ next visit!
Thank you to Miss Linda for coordinating these opportunities and to our Colgate mentors for sharing their time and enthusiasm with OV students each week.
The Liberty Partnerships Program continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Otselic Valley students -- providing mentorship, experiences, and encouragement that help them grow into confident learners.
