Representatives from local community organizations receive a donation from the Otselic Valley Teachers Association in support of families through the Holiday Basket initiative.

Otselic Valley recently collaborated with local community organizations to support families experiencing food insecurity through the Holiday Basket initiative.

Representatives from several community groups gathered alongside school staff to accept a donation from the Otselic Valley Teachers Association, represented by Jessica Stoklosa. Community organizations included:

  • South Otselic United Methodist Church, represented by Melanie Simmons

  • The Sunshine Shop, represented by Sarah Hite

  • Town of Otselic, represented by Stacie Morse

  • Otselic Valley Fishing & Heritage Association, represented by Terry and Mike Foor-Pessin

This was a great community collaboration between all parties, highlighting the shared commitment to supporting local families. The combined efforts of school staff, community organizations, and donors helped ensure that families received meaningful support for their food insecurity needs during the holiday season.

We would like to thank everyone involved for their generosity and the donations that made this initiative possible and highlight the OV pride demonstrated throughout our community.
