|| First Grade Builds a Lunar Lander! Our creative and hardworking first graders have been busy with an out-of-this-world project -- repurposing old newspapers to build a lunar lander model! Students carefully layered and rolled newspapers into logs to build the structure over time. The finished model even includes an airlock for entry, and today, they finally got to enjoy the results of their efforts! A huge shoutout to our first graders for turning recycled materials into something stellar.

The Multi-Purpose Room became a dark alley filled with felines of all shapes and sizes, thanks to the creative vision of Mrs. Sortman and her talented cast and crew. It was the first time CATS had ever been performed at OV, and it left a lasting impression on everyone who attended.

|| Important Health & Safety Reminder for Families Fentanyl and Carfentanil, extremely dangerous opioids, are increasingly being found mixed with other substances such as vapes, pills, gummies, and cannabis products. These combinations can be deadly, often without the user even knowing what they're ingesting. This is a growing concern in schools across the country, and it reinforces just how important it is to know: • Where our students are during the school day • Whether they may be exposed to harmful substances • How to talk to them about the risks We encourage families to stay informed and have open conversations with their children. || Learn more about the risks in this article shared by our school nurse: https://tinyurl.com/zscp3mhb Thank you for working with us to keep our students safe and healthy.
