|| Celebrating Our OV Students at CTE Signing Day!
On June 5th, several Otselic Valley seniors were recognized during the 2025 Career and Technical Education (CTE) Signing Day at the Alan D. Pole Campus. Much like athletes signing to play college sports, our students signed certificates committing to their future careers -- a powerful tribute to the value of skilled trades!
Congratulations to our OV students, all from the Conservation and Heavy Equipment Program:
• Aidan Brown-Smith, David Palmer, and Caden Fuller – Hired by Buckley’s Excavating
• Ryley Palmer – Hired by Monroe & Shaver Contracting
• Austin Brown – Hired by Integrity Lining Systems LLC
They are all graduating with not only a diploma, but a clear career path -- and they’re ready to make meaningful contributions to our local workforce and economy!
A heartfelt thank you to the families, instructors, Delaware-Chenango-Madison-Otsego BOCES staff, and business partners who helped make this possible. The celebration wrapped up with photos and refreshments prepared by Culinary Arts students.

On June 5th, the OV Booster Club held a special Spring Sports Recognition Program in the MPR to celebrate our student-athletes!

|| Morning Program Highlights: June 6th, 2025
This morning marked our final Morning Program of the school year! And our students and staff brought all their Viking spirit to send it off right!
We began with the Pledge of Allegiance and a patriotic song, followed by student-led updates from each grade level, including:

• Jokes, News & Fun Facts

Each class gave special OV Shoutouts to recognize both students and staff!
For this week’s OV’s Got Talent, we were wowed by:

• Daisy, Aurora, and Maggie with a beautiful rendition of “Fast Car”
• Ivy and her dog Rain showing off their amazing talent
As always, we wrapped up the program with music and dancing!

|| First Grade Builds a Lunar Lander!
Our creative and hardworking first graders have been busy with an out-of-this-world project -- repurposing old newspapers to build a lunar lander model!
Students carefully layered and rolled newspapers into logs to build the structure over time. The finished model even includes an airlock for entry, and today, they finally got to enjoy the results of their efforts!
A huge shoutout to our first graders for turning recycled materials into something stellar.

This morning, students gathered once again to kick off the day with Viking spirit and smiles at our OV Morning Program!

As always, the program ended with dancing and fun for all!
