COMING SOON: A CELEBRATION OF THE NATIVE AMERICAN HERITAGE OF THHE OTSELIC VALLEY
"The Otselic Valley Fishing and Heritage Association is honored to sponsor programs featuring Haudenosaunee artists, performers, and educators. All the FREE programs will take place as part of the Fishing & Heritage Day activities on Saturday, May 18 at the fish hatchery.
SCHEDULE:
--Corn husk doll workshops and stories at both 11 AM and 2 PM
--Oneida singers and dancers (and you can join in!) at 1 PM
--Mohawk ash basket making throughout thhe day (9 AM - 4 PM)

One more sleep until South Otselic's 15th Fishing & Heritage Day! On Saturday, May 18 from 9 am - 4 pm, get ready for EVERYTHING, including music from our own Otselic Valley Band! There is too much happening to list here, but we know there's something for everybody. Visit their website to plan your day!

Our own Payne Wood and Owen Davis are golfing so well with DeRuyter--their team is 5-0 so far this season! Nice win over Cincinnatus this week, gentlemen.

SOFTBALL UPDATE
The modified softball game scheduled for today (Friday, May 10) has been cancelled due to weather and there will be no practice. The game will be rescheduled for 5/15 as long as officials are available.
IT'S SENIOR NIGHT!
On Thursday, May 9, please join us at OV as we recognize Varsity Baseball seniors Braeden, Cole, and Manuel. Senior recognition will happen before the home game vs. Stockbridge Valley that starts at 4:30 pm.

PROM 2024
“Red Carpet and Red Roses” will be held on Saturday, June 1st from 5:30 - 10:00 pm at the Heritage Barn in Hamilton, NY. The cost is $50 per single and $80 per couple, and the event is for students in grades 9-12. The price includes a dinner buffet. Tickets will go on sale the week of May 20th. Guests from other schools must be signed up by May 24th. See Mrs. Kalin to sign them up.

--8:30 PM, Board of Education business meeting in the mirrored cafeteria

The Cincy-OV Boys Modified Baseball game vs. Madison scheduled for today (Monday, May 6) has been rescheduled to June 3rd at 4:30 pm at Cincy due to a lack of available officials.

if you're in our library and run into students, ask them for book recommendations. Books start conversations, it turns out.
Along with their book suggestion, Teagon and Aubree shared some great menu ideas today: T-bone steak + curly fries, and hot dogs + mac and cheese are now on a menu wishlist, and they can be ready in less than 30 minutes (check out the cookbook title). Thank you both!

Congrats to OV golfers Payne Wood and Owen Davis who play with the DeRuyter/OV Varsity Golf Team. Their team won against Cincinnatus, and we're looking forward to another great season for these student athletes!
UPDATE: The Varsity Baseball game on 5/4 against Lafargeville will now be held at DeRuyter Central School at 4pm due to the pesticide spraying at OV. #GoVikings #VikingPride
