MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD
On behalf of the Otselic Valley Board of Education, I am very pleased to inform you that on July 2, 2024, the Board agreed to offer Brian Collier the position as our new Superintendent of Schools. Mr. Collier is currently a principal in the Oxford Academy & Central Schools District, Oxford, NY. Pending the successful negotiation of a contract, the Board will make a formal appointment at an upcoming Board of Education meeting. It is anticipated that he will assume the position no later than September 1, 2024.
The Board would also like to take this opportunity to thank those members of the school community that provided feedback to the Board during this process as it helped inform the Board of the qualities and characteristics demanded of our next superintendent. Rest assured, we have found them in Mr. Collier. We look forward to your anticipated support of our new superintendent and the start of Mr. Collierโs work in the Otselic Valley CSD!

Here's a wonderful summer poem from Daniel Mowers, another student in Ms. Smith's class. What terrific creative writing!
Hi Summer
By: Daniel Mowers
Great, glorious, golden sunlight shine on me,
What do you see when we think of summer?
Red, orange and yellow
Staying home, playing games
Being happy and mellow
To see summer sky is poetry,
Though never in a book
Lie-True
Poems flee-
The grass is green, the sky is blue,
Today is beautiful, with my
Hair moving through the wind.
Sunny day, fun day, friend day
It's hot but fun
We swim
Everyone is happy
Bye school, hi summer
