ECLIPSE GLASSES ARE ALMOST READY
Thanks to the generosity of the Science Club, 4 pairs of certified solar eclipse glasses are being packaged to send to each family in our school. These will protect your eyes while viewing the solar eclipse happening on the afternoon of Monday, April 8.
If you have more than 4 people in your family, please take turns with these glasses or make a pinhole camera for safe viewing, but do not look at the sun directly.
Enjoy!

REMINDER for Thursday, March 28:
A Board of Education business meeting will be held at 7pm in the mirrored cafeteria. The Policy Committee meeting originally scheduled for 6pm has been canceled.
[Copies of documents are available upon request at the cost of printing: .25/pg.]

PERSONAL ELECTRONIC DEVICES AT OV
Remember, rules govern the use of personal electronic devices like games, audio devices, and especially cell phones at Otselic Valley. in general, phones for students up to 8th grade must be silent and put away during the school day, although students can use them before and after school.
Students in grades 9-12 who are in good standing can use their phones between classes and at lunch, and when a teacher allows their use for classwork. If adults ask a student to stop using a device, however, the student must cooperate.
Phones kept silent and out of sight during class allows student focus on learning, and freedom for other students to learn in a non-distracting environment.
Thank you for your cooperation.

BE INFORMED, BE READY FOR THE SOLAR ECLIPSE
Attached is a letter from the Earth Science teachers about the much publicized Solar Eclipse. The Science Club has generously provided four pairs of special solar glasses for all of our school families. These glasses will be coming soon. We ask that great care be taken with the glasses so they are not broken before the total eclipse on April 8th.
Also, remember that there is no school for staff or students on Monday, April 8, 2024. It's a give back day since we haven't used all of this school year's emergency closing days.
