There will be NO late bus on June 25, the last day of school, but we will have late buses running at 5:15 pm on school days through June 24.

FIRST PLACE!
Congratulations to Josie Guernsey, Lilly Palmer, Skyler Graham, Shelby Davis, and Caylene Russell, under the direction of Mr. Taylor, who performed competitively in a Six Flags Darien Lake Music Festival this spring and earned 1st place! They performed for master teachers/judges who evaluate hundreds of ensembles every year and provide an assessment with constructive suggestions. Our student musicians did very, very well, and we are so proud. Keep playing, Vikings!

CONGRATS AGAIN TO OUR 2024 VAL AND SAL
Congratulations to Valedictorian Rachel Loomis and Salutatorian Braeden Davis! Thank you both for your steady intention to reach higher, do more, and always begin again. We can't wait to see what's next for you.
RACHEL LOOMIS
Rachel Loomis has been named Valedictorian of Otselic Valley Jr./Sr. High Schoolโs Class of 2024. She has attended Otselic Valley since kindergarten. She is the daughter of Cheryl Loomis (Richard Rubright) and Michael Loomis. Rachel is involved in many school activities, including Varsity Soccer since the 8th grade where she was elected Captain for the last three years, President of Student Government since Sophomore year, Vice President of the Class of 2024, and Secretary of the National Honor Society. She has also played on the Chenango County Chargers U19 soccer team since Spring 2020. She earned scholar athlete and CCL all-star recognition in 2021, 2022, and 2023 and earned a place on the NYSPHSAA Section III All-Star soccer team this past season. Rachel will graduate high school with 37 college credits. After graduation, Rachel will attend Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN to major in biology or mathematics. She would like to thank her parents and teachers for their support and encouragement throughout the years.
BRAEDEN DAVIS
Braeden is the son of Chad and Jaime Davis of North Pitcher. He is a three sport, First Team All Star athlete whose athletic honors include: Team Captain, 1,000 Point Club member, Otselic Valley All Time Leading Scorer in basketball, and 2024 CCL Basketball Player of the Year. He is a member of the National Honor Society, Treasurer for the Class of 2024 and a recipient of the 2024 Section III Scholar Athlete Award. Braeden plans to attend SUNY Broome to major in Sports Management and continue his basketball career.

HEY, MIDDLE SCHOOLERS! THE LONG AWAITED OVERNIGHTER IS ON ITS WAY!
It is being held Friday, June 7th following the Elementary Musical. So, new date, but same time, same place! If you turned in all your paperwork and paid for it, you are all set. You must be eligible in order to attend. Please let Mrs. Kalin or Ms. Smith know if you have any questions or concerns.


RABIES IN CHENANGO COUNTY
Rabies has been positively identified in Chenango County (a racoon in Preston). Please be careful.
Note the upcoming rabies vaccine clinic for cats, dogs, and ferrets (August, at the South Otselic Highway Dept, 9 - 10 am). Pre-registration is required.
