UPDATE FROM MRS. MORSE, OUR NURSE:
Please remember students need proper footwear to participate in physical education or recess. Crocs or flip flops are not appropriate for wearing when running or on the playground. Students need to wear shoes that are supportive, snug, and have closed toes.
Parents of elementary students, please consider sending in another change of clothes because I do not have enough clothes for them to wear if they get wet from the playground swings, slides, or wet grass. Thank you.

SUMMER ADVENTURE AWAITS!
Join us for Otselic Valley’s Summer Enrichment Program! Mornings will be filled with activities that are creative, fun, and in all subject areas. This opportunity is open to students who will be entering grades K-6 in the 2024-2025 school year. Breakfast and lunch will be served daily, and transportation to/from select locations will be available.
DATES: Monday-Thursday, August 5 - 22
TIME: 8 am to noon
MEALS: Breakfast and lunch will be served
BUS PICK UP: Georgetown School, Route 26, Otselic 4 corners, County Route 16, Beaver Meadow 4 corners, End of Pidgeon Hill to OV (see signup form for details)
SIGN UP: Registration forms have been sent home, and they must be signed and returned by June 10, 2024. NOTE: Late registrations will not accepted. (Extra copies are available in the Main Office, or you can find a printable document on the website.)

Otselic Valley is proud to announce the two seniors who earned the highest grade point averages across their high school careers : Congratulations to Valedictorian Rachel Loomis and Salutatorian Braeden Davis! Their academic excellence is a reflection of their very hard work and bright minds, and we are delighted to recognize this significant achievement.
Otselic Valley is also pleased to join area school districts in announcing the Top 5 students in the senior class, especially because this year our students' grade point averages were so close -- sometimes within hundredths of a point. We are very happy to celebrate these excellent students:

REMINDER:
We will have a longer Memorial Day weekend this year with an extra day off. A calendar change now includes NO SCHOOL on Friday, May 24 in addition to NO SCHOOL on Monday, May 27 for Memorial Day. We will return to school on Tuesday, May 28.
Also remember the Memorial Day observance in South Otselic: the "Stars and Stripes Forever" parade, including the Otselic Valley band, steps off at 11 am on Monday, and is immediately followed by a service at the cemetery. The American Legion Post 973 is also offering a barbecue chicken dinner. [These aren't official school district events, but some of our students will be participating.]
Vikings Win! The Lady Vikings defeated Madison *twice* Friday night to finish their season on a high note! Great job ladies! Congratulations on a good season with new friends and new skills!

Payne and Owen are OV students who golf with DeRuyter. They were undefeated in league play this year and were both named CCL First Team All-Stars. Today they are playing in the first round of sectionals at the Seven Oaks Golf Course on the Colgate campus!
